It sounds like it should be against the law, but stealing women's underwear isn't technically a crime in China...until you steal so much that the police feel like they should probably do something about it. One Chinese man -- who stole 285 bras and 185 panties -- may be the only person in the world who has faced criminal charges for stealing underthings.
In the Chinese city of Liyang, a 32-year-old man had his supremely suspicious van searched by police.
They got a lot more than they bargained for when they found 285 bras and 185 panties inside.
He'd apparently been stealing them for three years.
When laid out on the ground, these stolen goods took up half of a basketball court.
Most disturbingly of all, the man apparently made himself some sort of tool to aid in stealing the garments.
You know, like some kind of perverted Looney Tunes character.
No word yet on the kind of charges that the panty thief will receive, but he is seeking psychological help for his fixation. Maybe people should stop selling vans to creeps. They only seem to encourage ridiculous behavior.
