They Don't Call Them Stingrays For Nothing -- They Can Really Get You

When it comes to ocean predators, most people know about the dangers of stingrays. That's why it's weird that people don't seem to be quite as scared of them as they should be. Even though they're typically docile creatures, they can still do some real damage when they sting. That is how beloved wildlife expert Steve Irwin met his untimely end, after all.

The stings aren't usually deadly, but they hurt like hell. That's only made worse by the fact that they leave their stingers behind when they're finished.
