Don't underestimate the creatures on the ocean floor. Even though they move at a glacial pace, they are just as conniving and Darwinistic as the creatures that live on dry land.

This clip from the BBC documentary Life shows what really happens on the ocean floor. It's kind of beautiful seeing these creatures move around like they're at a slow-motion rave...but watching them devour a seal carcass is a far less pleasant experience.

This is madness...

Starfish are a usually welcome sight on the beach, but who knew that they were the vultures of the sea? While we're busy looking for sea monsters near the surface, the real monsters are wreaking havoc on the ocean floor.
