Petco might not have the best reputation as a pet store chain, but they'll usually have what you need in a pinch. They do, however, experience the same issues that many other big-box stores face. Little mishaps often get lost in the shuffle when these companies focus solely on the big picture.

Since Petco carries a variety of pets, their stores tend to keep a few massive tarantulas on hand for animal enthusiasts with a taste for danger. Unfortunately, when employees start getting lazy, things like this happen...

Last week, Redditor Mongfight came across this scene at their local Petco. Notice anything odd?

Let's look a little more closely. See it yet?

That's a giant freaking tarantula.

Mongfight says that they tried to tell staff members about the spider jailbreak, but they just shrugged it off. That probably wasn't the most appropriate response.
