It Can Be Fun To Play With High-Voltage Electric Lines Sometimes...

Mike is ViralNova's resident Editor of the Weird. If it makes you say "OMG! That's terrible!!!" then Mike probably wrote it. Despite the subject of his articles Mike is surprisingly well adjusted. When he's not writing, he's making music, performing, and producing podcasts.

Generally speaking, it's a good idea to avoid touching high-voltage power lines. The reason why is pretty obvious: you will die. Makes sense, right? Of course, there's an exception to every rule, but only if you're wearing a specialized getup called a Faraday suit.

Faraday suits allow wearers to interact with high-voltage power lines without risking personal injury. Essentially, these suits take advantage of the Faraday Principle, which predicts the behavior of electricity. Without getting too scientific, these suits basically take the charge out of electrical waves. The process actually looks pretty cool.

These suits can help you have a lot of fun if you happen to bring your GoPro with you on the job, as you can see below:

Physics is still my favorite branch of science. That doesn't make this video any less terrifying, though. Don't take off those gloves!!!
