We all know that tarantulas aren't necessarily as dangerous as they look. But regardless of how dangerous they actually are, they still look pretty intimidating.

That intimidation and general freakiness is only heightened when they molt -- which is when they shed their exoskeletons and grow new ones. It's a natural process that never gets less freaky, even if you watch it a thousand times. If you want to see what I mean, watch this.
