Eating Fresh Fish Is A Good Thing...Unless It's A Little Too Fresh

NOVEMBER 11, 2015

Everyone knows that buying and eating the freshest meat and produce possible is not only the better-tasting choice, but the healthier one as well. But what happens when something is a little too fresh? When Japanese Twitter user @iwasi_nu went to the market to buy some fresh fish, he got a little bit more than he bargained for.

When he picked up a package of fish, he quickly realized that the creature's heart was still beating.

While this might seem gross to most people, Japanese commenters on Twitter seem to be rather pleased with the whole thing! They feel that this level of freshness will only impart better flavor. I mean, at least they're staying positive, right?
