The phenomenon known as ball lightning has always intrigued researchers. While ball lightning has been observed quite a few times, no one really knows what causes it. Those who witness it usually describe it as a floating orb of light in the sky.
If you're not expecting them, these orbs can easily be mistaken for UFOs. One of the creepiest instances of ball lightning was seen over the English town of Poole back in 2014. One resident's CCTV camera was there to capture the strange orb on film.video-player-present
While ball lightning seems like the most reasonable explanation, it still looks like some sort of UFO-related probe to me. Then again, why would aliens want to spy on a quiet English village in the dead of night?
