I'm Pretty Sure That Thumbs Aren't Supposed To Work Like That...Ouch

Mike is ViralNova's resident Editor of the Weird. If it makes you say "OMG! That's terrible!!!" then Mike probably wrote it. Despite the subject of his articles Mike is surprisingly well adjusted. When he's not writing, he's making music, performing, and producing podcasts.

There are some skills that most of us will never possess, regardless of how hard we try. These skills just come naturally to some people. So what exactly am I talking about?

Well, if you must know, I'm talking about disturbing talents like that of Redditor schmooby.

About a year ago, she posted this photo on Reddit, proudly proclaiming herself to be double-jointed. Kinda freaky, right?

Here's a closer photo. You can see that she's able to grip objects by bending her fingers backwards.

Responding to commenters, schmooby posted a couple of gifs that showcase her scary abilities.

This is deeply disturbing in every way.

How the heck is she able to do that?!?!

I'll admit it. I'm a little creeped out right now. Many of the commenters in schmooby's original thread advised her to see a doctor. Diseases like Ehlers-Danlos and Marfan's manifest themselves in bigger, more flexible hands. Both conditions could lead to major complications later in life.
