How These Teens Were Able To Listen To The Radio Is Absolutely Insane

Physicists will tell you that all branches of science actually hinge around the laws of physics. While this might seem like a condescending statement, they do have a point. If you study any natural science, your experiments will eventually lead you into the realm of physics.

That being said, I think we're going to need a physicist to explain what's happening in the video below. These teenagers were somehow able to pick up radio signals by pressing a cornstalk against a powerful antenna.

I have no idea how they did it, but this is disturbing and amazing.

That is seriously freaky. One Redditor speculates that the tower is a radio antenna, and that the rapid fluctuation of its radio waves makes it possible to hear the broadcast through the cornstalk. Unfortunately for the teens in this video, it's seriously unsafe to be that close to a powerful antenna for any extended period of time.
