A lot of people neglect to read the paperwork that comes with new computers, but those who do know that much of what goes wrong with our devices happens because we don't properly clean them. You might not think that keeping your computer clean is important, but this photo series by Redditor Poncecutor will probably make you change your tune.

When his brother's computer sat unused for a month, Poncecutor turned it on to figure out what was happening. Once he opened it up, he was met with a nasty discovery.

This computer hadn't been used for a month, and it no longer turned on. Everything appeared to be normal on the outside...

...and the inside.

But after some digging, he found these.

You're not high. Actual mushrooms grew out of this guy's computer.

This happened after just one month. Imagine what kind of fungus that '90s Gateway computer in your basement is harboring!
