Scientists study a wide variety of things, but this particular study makes me glad to be a former English major who works from home.

Ecologist Donald McFarlane recently led an expedition into the Gomantong Caves in Borneo, where the poop of millions of bats has completely defaced the floor. It has since attracted billions of poop-loving bugs.

This has to be one of the rings of Hell, right? A completely dark room where putting your backpack down for a second causes it to become saturated with insect guts and bat poop? No, thanks. I'm happy to have an English degree that I'll be paying off until I'm 50.
