If you never think about what's in the ground under your backyard, you're not alone. Most people never give it a second thought, but when people do get curious, they're sometimes met with strange finds. That's a bizarre fact that a friend of Redditor monk_e_boy learned while doing some yard work earlier this week.
According to monk_e_boy, the ground gave way with pretty much no warning.
His friend now has to deal with a huge and dangerous hole in his own backyard.
They think that it's probably an old copper mine. From the surface, there's no way to tell how deep the hole actually is.
Well that's flippin' terrifying. If there's one of those things in his backyard, that means there are probably more out there. These things are worse than sinkholes.
