Australians Have A Much Darker Sense Of Humor Than You Might Think

Mike is ViralNova's resident Editor of the Weird. If it makes you say "OMG! That's terrible!!!" then Mike probably wrote it. Despite the subject of his articles Mike is surprisingly well adjusted. When he's not writing, he's making music, performing, and producing podcasts.

Australia is certainly a land of extremes. There's the extreme weather, the extreme wildlife, and then there are the extreme people. Yes, extreme people. If you've ever had the pleasure of meeting someone from Australia, you know they go hard in every situation.

The same can actually be said for their sense of humor. It might not always be in good taste, but they'll go to just about any length to deliver a great punchline. If you don't believe me, just watch this video of an Australian surgeon turning a garish head wound into something morbidly hilarious.

Mild NSFW Warning.

Well, that looks both painful and hilarious. While I'm glad that none of my doctors do that to me, I'm certainly not against watching it happen to someone else.
